What inspired you to write poetry?

My inspiration for writing poetry comes from various sources, including personal experiences, social issues, and the beauty of language itself. I often find that the world around me, especially political and social themes, fuels my creativity and desire to express myself through verse.

How do you choose your themes?

I choose my themes based on what resonates with me at a given moment. Often, I draw from my own life experiences, family history, and current events. This allows me to create a connection with readers who may share similar feelings or experiences, making my work more relatable and impactful.

What is your writing process like?

My writing process involves brainstorming ideas, free writing, and revising multiple drafts until I feel satisfied with the final piece.

Do you have any upcoming publications?

Yes, I have a chapbook titled ‘A Wild Ride’ that will be published by Finishing Line Press in June 2026. It focuses on political and social issues, reflecting my ongoing engagement with these themes in my work.
